Explore the Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln through fine art photography of its monumental architecture, art and history. Designed by architect Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue, this National Historic Landmark brings together Lee Lawrie’s sculpture, including The Sower, Hildreth Meiere’s mosaics and Hartley Burr Alexander’s thematic vision.
From the Rotunda, Memorial Chamber and Nebraska Hall of Fame to limestone corridors, carvings, grand staircases and monumental exteriors, I return often to photograph one of my favorite buildings and the way changing light transforms its stone and spaces. In color and black and white, these images explore an enduring Nebraska landmark, where even Cameron the Capitol Cat became part of its story.
